Verallia Portugal was present in Caldas da Rainha to present Glass bottles and industry and plant to students of Product Design – Ceramics and Glass
During this 2nd Edition of the Design & Creativity Contest, the students of the 1st year of Higher Art & Design School (ESAD) in Caldas da Rainha, by the course of Product Design - Ceramics and Glass, were privileged to know the Verallia’s and learn more about industry and glass packaging.
On the morning of April 27th, Verallia Portugal went to the ESAD in Caldas da Rainha to explain to all students the procedure about industry and glass packaging.
The visit was focused on Design & Creativity Contest, Verallia wanted to clarify the students about the glass packaging to allow them to create your own bottle within the parameters mentioned in the contest rules.
The visit began with a presentation of the company and the production process with information about all products of different markets where Verallia Portugal is present as a leader of the national market, Selective Line brand – Premium brand of Verallia, ECOVA range for sustainable world, concepts and symbols of the bottles, some technical limitations as well as the entire manufacturing process. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and "see with hands" bottles of various shapes and capacities, as well as bottles of ECOVA range and Selective Line brand with different decorations which proved an advantage, because they could see what already exists in the market and evaluate details that can enhance their creations.
The feedback was very positive, either for students how to for the Verallia Portugal, the interest from visitors was really nice.
All visits realized for this Contest were satisfactory and useful mainly for all students. After the explanations from Verallia team, the students learned more about the glass packaging and their potential as well as the entire area of quality, food safety, hygiene and safety at work and environmental responsibility, areas where Verallia Portugal is certified.
Entries for the 2nd edition of the contest are closed and the jury have until May 31 to vote online.
In this 2nd edition are expected projects that simplify the use of everyday, so easy and practical to use based on innovation and differentiation, and maintain focus in proximity of the glass with the consumer.
The Award Ceremony will take place on June 26, 2015 from 15:00 at the Center for Arts and Spectacles of Figueira da Foz, with the presentation of the famous comedian Nilton.
This competition, based on innovation, has been strengthened by funding from the Compete, within in the national strategic reference framework.
