Verallia Portugal present at the University of Coimbra for the debate "Bridges between the Academy and Industry"
At the end of February, relations between industry and academia were discussed at the University of Coimbra in the debate "Bridges between the Academy and Industry", attended by Verallia Portugal, represented by Célia Carrasqueiro, Director of Human Resources and Communication.
The initiative, organized by PostDoc @ UC, was attended by Vice-Rector Amílcar Falcão and companies Verallia Portugal, Altri, José Mello Saúde, Roche Pharmaceuticals and Sonae. Verallia Portugal argues that the synergy "research and industry" brings new opportunities for companies to form partnerships with universities that allow them to develop projects, innovation, technology and creativity. In this meeting, several themes were addressed, such as the competencies that researchers should develop to add value to projects in partnership with companies, advantages of research and development projects in collaboration with industry, as well as to explore opportunities existing projects and employability.
The debate was part of the cycle of meetings of the PostDocs @ UC initiative that aims to develop skills and collaborations among PhD researchers at the University of Coimbra and was supported by the Interdisciplinary Research Institute.
