Verallia Portugal announced the winners of the 3rd Edition of the ‘Verallia Design Award’ on June 9th, presented by magician MÁRIO DANIEL
Last June 9th, at 3:00 pm in the Center for Arts and Spectacles of Figueira da Foz, were announced the winners of the 3rd Edition of the ‘Verallia Design Awards’.
Mário Daniel, a famous Portuguese magician was the person in charge of presenting this ceremony.
With the motto "Mobility", the awards of the 3rd Edition of this contest organized by Verallia Portugal revealed great design, innovation and a full house on the afternoon of June 9th.
All students of Design and Arts enrolled in higher education in the academic year 2015-2016, were invited to participate in this Contest to create projects whose can respond to the needs and characteristics of daily life "busy" to various components of the family, not forgetting the productive capacity of glassmaking. Currently, due to the economic situation and the country's politics, people are more nomadic, more difficult to hold many years to a job, to a city, to a house, among others. The demands of day-to-day are bigger, faster and sometimes quick meals and practices inside and outside the home are frequent.
The results surpassed expectations, with 92 projects competing and showing high quality and the creativity of the students.
This year, Pedro Gomes – the famous Professional Designer in Portugal was a sponsor.
The decision and voting of the jurors proved to be difficult due to the degree of innovation that the students presented in the projects:
