Sparkling Wine ‘Terras do Demo’ win new gold medal at Japan's largest wine contest

The Sparkling Wine ‘Terras do Demo’, produced by Cooperativa Agrícola do Távora in Moimenta da Beira, Portugal, on the Alienor bottle of Verallia's premium range Selective Line, won another Gold medal at the 6th edition of the "Sakura - Japan Women's Wine Awards 2019”.

It is the largest international wine competition in Japan, created with the aim of developing the wine market in the country, finding wine nectars for Japanese cuisine (more than 100 million consumers) and involving more Japanese women in the wine trade. As early as 2015, Terras do Demo, with fine Malvasia caste, had won a first place in this contest.
The Gold medal was achieved by Terras do Demo, from the Touriga Nacional caste of 2017 (rosé), in a blind race, among 4,326 wine brands from 34 countries around the world. The tasting evaluation, held in Tokyo at the end of January, was made by 530 professionals women in the wine industry.

This Sparkling Wine rosé, critics say, has a clear, persistent, and bubble-like appearance. And, in the nose, it has an intense, exquisite and floral aroma, with a fresh and very fruity palate, with a long finish. It is suggested, still by the critics, for the accompaniment of clams, oysters, fish and poultry of white meats.
