Sovibor – Tradition through Innovation

Sovibor –Borba Wine Society, celebrated 50 years. To that end, the choice for Aguardente Vínica Velhíssima Mamoré was the elegant 70cl Oxford bottle, from Verallia’s premium Selective Line range.

Born in 1968, Sovidor became part of the Sousa Tavares group, of Fernando Tavares, in December 2014, with business in the production and distribution of wines and tourism. It owns 170 hectares of vineyards with a great part of old vineyards without irrigation, as well as a long-term contract, under the management of the company, on what concerns every type of vineyard intervention. This area of vineyard in Borba, under the influence of Serra de São Mamede, Serra d’Ossa and Serra de Porte, includes the highest vineyard of Borba (425m), mainly in shale and low yield soils.
For this unique spirit, Sovibor has chosen the Oxford 70cl bottle of the Selective Line, a square-shaped decanter, an imposing body with a majestic glass block at the bottom. This bottle is available in extra-flint colour, and gives strength and personality to this spirit. The Aguardente Vínica Velhíssima Mamoré has a vivid golden colour, intense, complex, thin and velvety almond with very ripe yellow fruits and nuts aroma. The long ageing in oak barrels enhances the delicacy of drinking.
