Rota da Bairrada celebrated 10 years of activity
Rota da Bairrada Association celebrated its 10th anniversary on November 28th. The ceremony was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture for Forestry and Rural Development, Capoulas Santos, and a plaque dedicated to the anniversary was unveiled at Rota headquarters.
Rota da Bairrada was born in 2006, with 23 associates, currently has 52, covering all sectors regarding wine tourism. Currently, existing two Bairrada Spaces, one in the Curia (headquarters) and another in Oliveira do Bairro. In 2017, it will open a third Space in the old Station of the CP of Aveiro.
Jorge Sampaio, President of the Association made an extremely positive assessment, saying that nowadays, wine tourism and Wine Rotas (Associations dedicated to promote each region) cannot be limited to producers and wine alone. The tourist seeks, more and more, a structured offer that provides you with new and innovative experiences. That’s why Rota da Bairrada works over the last ten years.
