Quinta de la Rosa invests in beer production in the Douro
After a home-cooked experience last year, the company now prepares to launch three varieties of beer branded La Rosa (an IPA, a Lager and a Stout), which is producing in the cellar it has in Sabrosa.
This trio maintains the connection to wine throughout the process. The winemaker Jorge Moreira "brings beer to his experience in brewing lots", the analysis of the beers is made in the "wine laboratory" of the farm, the IPA "ages" in the oak barrels where formerly ran the wine La Rosa Reserva Branco and Stout will be made with the company's Porto Vintage.
Sophia Bergqvist, manager of the farm, presented on 5 April, the new craft beers at an event organized in Porto.
