Lusovini launches new logistic center and sparkling wine cellar
Lusovini group will invest about 4,5 million Euros on the construction of a new logistic center in order to increase the stock capacity up to a thousand pallets, as well as a cellar for still wines of a superior range, located in Nelas Municipality.
On the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new logistic center, which chaired Luís Vieira, State Secretary of Agriculture, and Casimiro Gomes, President of Lusovini Group, explained that this investment whose construction work should be concluded in the middle of 2018, arises from the company need to have a higher logistic response capacity , having more finished or semi-finished wine available. Lacking only its package label, it will allow them to give an immediate response to the client, with efficiency and quality.
On this ceremony, it was also presented a new sparkling wine which celebrates 30 years of Casimiro Gomes professional career- with a limited edition of a DOC Dão sparkling wine in 1,5 litres bottles- giving his merit for launching the very first Dão sparkling wine for commerce. This is the “Pedra Cancela, Sparkling Wine- Brut, 2014 Crop”, whose varieties are named “Encruzado”, “Cerceal” and “Uva Cão”.
Lusovini Group also seized the occasion to do an institutional presentation of their new label “Lusovini Vinhos de Portugal”. “We clearly are a Portuguese wine project and it makes perfect sense to adopt this description and assuming a role to the market of standing only with Portuguese Wine”- as mentioned by Casimiro Gomes.
