Lusovini apresenta o Museu Virtual do Vinho
Lusovini, producer and exporting company of wine, with headquarters in Nelas, has launched a Virtual Museum in order to enhance and improve Dão wine’s image and positioning.
The leadership of the project was up to Casimiro Gomes, CEO of Lusovini, mentioning that “"We decided to invest in a virtual museum in the wine region in which we have our headquarters, Dão, because 70% of our wines are sold abroad and, therefore, the vast majority of our customers have no practical possibility of visiting us”.
The site is sectioned into six themes, beginning with “Before the Wine in the Dão Region”, dated 8.000 years ago. The next chapter tells us about the beginning of the wine production and the wild grapevine domestication at Iberian Peninsule. The menu “Wine in the Dão Region” tell us about Dão’s grapevine and wine expansion in Portugal, at XII century. The latest three chapters inform us about Dão landscapes, its principal grape varieties while disclosing interesting information about “Wine served at noble houses”.
“These are projects that will make a difference on Portugal Enoutourism certification”, stated Manuel Caldeira, Economy Minister, at the launch of this project.
