Laurinius Sharish Gin has won a Silver Medal
LAURINIUS SHARISH GIN has won a Plate Medal on the Cask Finished Gin Category at The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).
The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC), is one of the biggest international spirit competitions across the world. This gin has received a Silver Medal, and its bottle, Mahe, belongs to the premium range of Verallia Selective Line.
“Sharish Laurinius Gin is a limited edition of 3883 bottles, which remained for one year in barrels of Wine Spirit from Lourinhã, one of the 3 exclusive regions which produce Wine Spirit on the world (similarly to Cognac and Armagnac).
The idea of this edition came up with a visit of the responsible bodies of Louriana XO Spirit, Paulo Marcelino and João Brito, to the Sharin Gin distillery. The idea was promptly welcomed by António Cuco and it was agreed that it would be a version of Sharish Gin Original, on which would be replaced the “Bravo” Apple from Esmolfe for “Rocha” Pear from the West, while also adding an extra botanical component, the laurel leaf, honoring Lourinhã, which provides an amber shade, a distinguishing mark of this Gin category, softening the aroma and proving them warmer notes.”
