65th Anniversary – Adega de Cantanhede
Adega cooperativa de Cantanhede celebrated its 65th anniversary on july 13. The ceremony was attended by the President of Adega de Cantanhede – Victor Damião, the President of Cantanhede city council – Helena Teodósio and Secretary of State for Consumer Protection – João Torres.
During the ceremony of the institution’s 65 years, Victor Damião was the first intervener and announced that he is considering his re-election in the direction of the Adega de Cooperativa. Besides the thanks made to those who in the last 10 years followed him in the social organs, the president claims that "the Adega Cooperativa de Cantanhede is today one of the most prestigious wineries in the country", reminding also the many prizes received and the expectation of a future of growth and sustainability. Helena Teodósio interprets the presence of João Torres as the recognition of the Government to the Adega and still mentions that the Adega’s route beyond the pride of the county, also contributes to the region's economy.
To finalize the speech of the commemorative session of the Adega Cooperativa de Cantanhede 65 anniversary, João Torres highlights what the Adega has done for the wine sector of the region and the country and encourages the associates of the Adega de Cantanhede, giving strength to continue the good work they have done and saying that Adega Cooperativa de Cantanhede “will have a great future ahead”.
