Festa do Alvarinho e do Fumeiro 2014 - Verallia Portugal in the 20 years of the Festa do Alvarinho e do Fumeiro

For strengthening the union and closeness between customers, the Verallia Portugal sponsored, again, the Festa do Alvarinho e do Fumeiro de Melgaço 2014 (FAFM), an exhibition of 100% regional products.

In order to detach local products from the region, the Melgaço municipality has organized in the last 20 years, the FAFM. A different event, compared to existing in this segment, the FAFM emphasizes the promotion of products and services from the region, in particular the green wines, smoked meats, handicraft, tourism and gastronomy.
To detach the unity and proximity that is intended to convey to customers, Verallia Portugal sponsored, again, the FAFM a fair with national visibility and regional promotion, in particular the smoked meats and Alvarinho green wine.
In a day as emblematic and historic as the 40th anniversary of April 25, the FAFM opened the doors of the fair for another weekend so rural that every year since 1995, receives thousands of visitors. A cozy space where one side were "the taverns" and regional crafts and the other, shows the traditional smoked meats and Alvarinho green wine.
Throughout the weekend, the rain wasn’t impediment because the joy, the gaiety and conviviality were notorious for the thousands visitors received in fair. Glass in hand and curiosity for the tasting, everyone could go the "taverns" for to prove the variety of Alvarinho green wine, gastronomy and traditional smoked meats, which had at their disposal.
An alliance between tradition and innovation, made with that beyond the gastronomic samples and the tourism in the region, arose a unique opportunity for the cooperation and union among producers, traders, partners and customers of this event, that existing for 20 years!
The team Verallia Portugal was present in the fair where the official opening, was presided by the Secretary of State for Feed and Agro-Feed Investigation, Nuno Vieira de Brito.
