European Commission delivers certificate to Verallia Portugal and reinforces the environmental management - EMAS
In February 2016, the European Commission highlighted the Verallia Portugal for good environmental practices and EMAS certification (EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme).
The event "20 years of premium environmental management - High Level Conference on EMAS: learning from front runners, promoting best practices, and exploiting the full potential of green growth", Verallia Portugal was highlighted by his work in terms of environmental management and compliance with the EMAS.

The EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is a management instrument developed by the European Commission for companies and other organisations to evaluate, report, and improve their environmental performance. It spans all economic and service sectors and is applicable worldwide.
At this conference, it was emphasized that Verallia Portugal was the first company in Portugal to have EMAS certification and over the years kept this recognition. In fact, in December 2003 the registration had been made and in September 2013 was the renewed certification. This certificate received by the European Commission on behalf of the Environment points out, also, that most promoted good practice and sought to explore green growth with a performance commitment, credibility and transparency.
Thanks to this recognition from the European Commission, Verallia Portugal is very proud and to will continue to follow the path of environmental protection for sustainability.
