Awards Prize - 5th Edition of the Verallia Design Awards
It was on June 8th that Verallia Portugal celebrated the 5th Edition of the Verallia Design Awards, whose theme was "Olive oil, transparent as glass".
The stage emphasized everything that was traditional and rustic. This decoration was only possible thanks to the support given by Tiago Covelo, owner of Praça 18, who made all the decoration of his restaurant so unique through tradition and Portuguese tradition.
It was in this relaxed and informal atmosphere that Miguel Babo, the presenter of the ceremony, talked with some of the main figueirense references such as Rosa Amélia, owner of one of the seafood restaurants with greater notoriety in Figueira da Foz.
98 students from 15 higher education institutions participated in this edition. The 79 projects were evaluated and voted on by Verallia's employees and managers, clients and partners, who were somehow linked to the theme.
To present an innovative design, the candidates became familiar with the essence and potential of the glazing material and process. The candidates guided the projects to the target audience and considered the economic issues related to the launching of a glass bottle.
At the end of the ceremony, 10 students from the Higher Education of the Arts and Design area were awarded the prize.
